I am extremely pleased to announce that Hugh Roman, one of my students and also one of your colleagues, will perform on the 2023 Honors Recital of the Alameda Branch MTAC (Music Teachers' Association of California) next Sunday, April 16, 2023, at 2:30 p.m.  He will perform Chopin's Prelude No. 15 ("Raindrop"), Op. 28, No. 15.

In addition to the Honors Recital, Hugh has also been invitied to perform at the MTAC Annual Convention this summer on the Contemporary Music Recital.  For this recital, Hugh will perform my Lyric Piece No. 1 (from a collection of Lyric Pieces - still being written!). 

We are all very proud, and equally humbled, that Hugh, as a representative of our piano studio, should be so recognized and honored for his achievements in musical excellence.  For those who are in town and available to attend the Honors Recital next Sunday, I invite you to come to support Hugh and enjoy the performances of all the wonderfully talented performers in our local branch of  the MTAC!  I have listed the venue information below.  Parking in the area is very limited, so I suggest you give ample time to arrive to find parking!

Though the setting is serious and formal, young and beginning students are most welcome to attend.  Indeed, hearing what peers are able to achieve also serves as inspiration and motivation for both the young and older to "reach for the stars".
